HOREX QAZAQSTAN AND CLEANEXPO QAZAQSTAN INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITIONS: CONTRIBUTION TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE HORECA SECTOR IN KAZAKHSTAN

Two industry exhibitions will be held at once in Almaty’s biggest exhibition center Atakent Business Cooperation Center on November 2-4: HoRex Qazaqstan Central Asian International Exhibition “Everything for Hotels, Restaurants and Supermarkets” and CleanExpo Qazaqstan Kazakhstan International Exhibition "Cleaning Industry" presenting the latest developments in cleaning and chemical industry, from household appliances to professional services.

Certainly, the current realities and rapidly changing market conditions must contribute to the flexibility and qualitative ability of the industry to adapt to new challenges and trends. The HoReCa market is growing, and so are the expectations for quality and service. Thus, there were 7.1 thousand active enterprises rendering accommodation and catering services in February of this year as compared to February of the last year — by 10.8% more. Revenues in the hotel business in Kazakhstan in the first half of 2022 increased by 52%, which amounted to 67.7 billion KZT, and the volume of investment in fixed capital in the field of accommodation and catering services in the first half of 2022 amounted to 46.7 billion KZT. The combined exhibitions HoRex Qazaqstan and CleanExpo Qazaqstan serve as a unique space, a centralized professional platform for quality networking of industry representatives, sharing experiences, discussing development prospects and solving current problems.

Companies from Belarus, Germany, Kazakhstan, Poland and Russia participate in HoRex Qazaqstan 2022 and CleanExpo Qazaqstan. The exhibitors will present kitchen equipment from Belarus, coffee machines and vending equipment from Swiss, Irish and Italian manufacturers, a variety of coffee beans, industrial and domestic vacuum cleaners from Poland, professional laundry equipment from Germany, de-icing reagents and cleaning materials from Russia, as well as suppliers of food for HoReCa enterprises from Kazakhstan and Russia will be exhibited at their stands.

The composition of exhibitors is represented as our annual participants, companies such as Catering solutions, Probarista, Franko, Rhea Vendors, Torgmash, ZiraxPro. About 40% of exhibitors are the debutants of expo-sites. Massimo Coffee, a Kazakhstan supplier of coffee from Kenya, Ecuador and Ethiopia with its own roasting in Almaty, will be making its first stand. A special guest at the stand will be Wendelien Van Bunnik, a world coffee star, who will give two master classes on brewing coffee at the exhibition. Wendelien Van Bunnik won the 2019 Aeropress World Coffee Brewing Championship at the Dutch Barista Championship. Also, for the first time in the exhibition will participate such companies as STAHL - German manufacturer of laundry equipment, MasterProfi - Polish manufacturer of vacuum cleaners for dry and wet cleaning, Technovipes - Russian producer of wiping materials, Inari-N and Arbuz Food Service - domestic suppliers of food for hotels, cafes and restaurants, and EkoNiva company will present professional line of dairy products for baristas.

The unique thing about the forum is that it is a system of educational process, changing the content every year in accordance with market trends. This year the main theme of the forum is “Hybrids.  Communications, Sales, Scaling,” a trend of the post-pandemic industry. Hybrid is the mixing of two or more formats of products, activities, communications: offline and online, analog and digital, catering and retail.

The presentation of the material within the forum is organized as a training program with consolidation of the material by means of a transformational game. Live discussions and brainstorming, working cases from the masters of their craft, master classes from leading industry practitioners.  Solving the problems of companies in the HoReCa industry, the development of joint solutions in a team of like-minded people.
