HoReCa industry in new realities: increased readiness.
On November 1, the largest industry forum for HoReCa professionals was held for the first time in online format, when in the form of a live dialogue industry experts from Kazakhstan, Russia and Ukraine shared with the audience practical cases on building effective work in times like these, and also discussed the latest trends and opportunities for further development for restaurants, hotels and retail chains.
HorexForum 2020 proved to be a high-quality platform for networking and discussion of the current market situation based on examples of domestic and foreign experience.
The online forum program included a number of thematic master classes and coaching sessions, practical cases and insights, a dialogue with the audience in Q&A format, and a round table on catering, organized jointly with ABCS. Regardless of the segment of the hospitality industry in which your activities are conducted, Yulia Kozhanova, a practicing marketing specialist and brand consultant, and Natalya Kulakova, a restaurant consultant and business coach, shared their universal knowledge on the use of anti-crisis marketing tools and standards for auditing, cost optimization and building business processes.
Ekaterina Tereshchenko, an invited speaker from Kiev, proposed effective solutions for the design and interior of restaurants, taking into account changes in budgets.
Ekaterina told how to save the budget for the implementation of the desired interior, and what factors must be taken into account when forming a design concept.
The audience was especially interested in a practical case on the introduction of piecework wages using the example of a real-life project. Alexey Kislov, General Director of the Resttim company, successfully spoke on this topic.
Domestic speakers shared their experience of doing business with restrictions. Dmitry Korolev, co-founder of the community of professional bartenders, spoke about the work of bars and held a small master class on making cocktails. Bas Taras, a co-owner of Manga Sushi and Rocket Japan, spoke about his real experience and problems in building a food delivery system. The audience, including participants from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia, was interested to learn about the trends of the new time in the hospitality industry on the example of different countries, taking into account the specifics of doing business and state regulation on the spot.
There was a session specially organized for hoteliers, with the participation of the organizer of the first in Russia forum for independent hotels Hotel Business Forum, the author of a training course for the top management of hotels, Alexey Volov.
Alexey shared information on how to minimize business costs, and turn costs into investments increasing business profitability.
At the end of the forum, Kirill Pogodin, a leading Russian expert on catering, introduced the audience to the latest trends and prospects for the further development of catering. Later, Kirill continued to talk about topical issues in the industry, changes in the industry and growth opportunities during a roundtable devoted to the: “Regional problems of the industry”.
HorexForum 2020 has become not just a consulting and training platform for HoReCa industry specialists, but also a meeting place for people who move the hospitality industry forward from year to year. A place where ideas are born, decisions are made and experiences are exchanged with the hope for a better future for the industry.
